Q: Do I need to reconfirm my flight?

A: All Passengers are advised to reconfirm their flights at least 72 Hours before scheduled departure.

Q: What if my ticket is lost?

A: If you lose an entire or a partially used ticket, please contact the nearest Drukair office or its agents immediately.

Q: Can I get special meals on a Drukair flights?

A: Passengers, who submit their requests three days prior to departure, can be served special menus to suit religious and health preferences

Q: What do the codes on my ticket mean?

Electronic Ticket Number: find in “E-TICKET NUMBER”

Reservation Code: find in “RLOC KB”

Fare Type: located in the “Fare Base”

Class and confirmation: find them in “CLASS and OK” field.

Departure Time: located in “TIME”

Baggage Allowance: located in “BAG”

Departure Date and Flight No: located in “DATE” and “FLIGHT”

Reservation Status:

OK: You are confirmed on this flight.

HL: “Requested”. You are on a waiting list.

Ticket Validity: Found in the “NVB” not valid before and “NVA” not valid after.

Q: What if my child must travel on his/her own?

A: A children,5-11 years of age, traveling alone is designated an Unaccompanied Minor and will be escorted by Drukair personnel, looked after during a flight, and met on arrival provided the parent has completed the necessary documents prior to the flight and copy of these documents is required to present at check-in counter. An unaccompanied minor handling will be subjected to fees.

Q: Are there special children's meals?

A: Drukair does not serve special meals for children, therefore you’re advised to arrange the meals.

Q. How much is my baggage allowance?

A: The Baggage allowance for Royal Executive Class is: 30 kg. (66 lbs.) And for Economy Class passengers: 20 kgs.(44lbs.). An infant under 2years of age and not occupying a seat is not entitled to baggage allowance.

Q: How many pieces of carry-on hand baggage am I allowed?

A: To comply with the security regulations, passengers may carry only one hand baggage. Its sum of three dimensions (length, breadth and height) should not exceed 100 cm and the weight should not exceed more than 5kg. The hand bag­gage may comprise:

• A lady’s handbag

• An overcoat or a wrap

• An umbrella or a walking stick

• A small camera and a pair of binoculars

• A reasonable amount of reading material for the flight

• For invalid, passengers, a fully collapsible invalid wheel chair and/or a pair of crutches.

All other items, such as typewriters, briefcases, overnight bags, personal radios, vanity cases, large cameras, etc will be weighed with other baggage and will be subject to payment of excess baggage charges if the total weight exceeds the free baggage allowance.

Q: What if I need special assistance?

A: Staffs are stationed at various points around the Departure Hall to aid passengers needing special assistance. Wheelchairs are available. We also provides escorts to the airplane for passengers in need of assistance such as, Unaccompanied Minors, young passengers, medical cases and etc.

Q: Can I make advance seat assignment?

A: Advance seat assignment can be done through Drukair offices during the time of reservation.

Q. Can I change the travelling date through website?

A. Please visit Drukair office or its Agents to change your travelling dates.

Q: When should I check in at the Airport?

A: The reporting time for your flight is two hours prior to flight departure. All counters will close 30 minutes prior to sched­uled departure of the flight. However, check-in counters in Delhi will close one hour prior to scheduled flight departure.

Q. Which items are prohibited in checked and carry-on luggage?

A: For safety reasons, dangerous articles such as those listed below, must not be carried in passenger’s baggage.

• Compressed gasses – (deeply refrigerated, flammable, non-flammable and poisonous) such as butane, oxygen, liquid nitrogen, aqualung cylinders

• Corrosives such as acids, alkalis, mercury and wet cell batteries

• Explosives, munitions, fireworks and flares

• Flammable liquids and solids such as lighter fuel, matches, paints, thinners, fire-lighters

• Radioactive materials

• Brief-cases and attaché cases with installed alarm devices

• Oxidizing materials such as bleaching powder, peroxides

• Poisons and infectious substances such as insecticides, weed-killers and live virus materials

• Other restricted articles such as mercury, magnetized material, offensive or irritating materials.

Also carriages of dry cell batteries, knives, scissors, sharp instruments, tools, firearms, ammunition, and toy replicas are prohibited in the passenger cabin. Medicines and toiletries in limited quantities which are necessary or appropriate for the passenger during the journey, such as hairsprays, perfumes, and medicines containing alcohol may be carried.
