Flight for a cause
While air travel has come to a halt for many, Drukair was happy to initiate a valley flight excursion for 35 RENEW Gawailing Happy Home Children, today. Flight for a cause was first initiated in 2018 and this is the second flight under the program.
The 45 minutes flight excursion took the children through the valleys of 7 Dzongkhags (Paro -Thimphu - Punakha - Wangdue - Phobjikha - Bumthang -Gelephu - Haa) with spectacular views of the highest mountains in Bhutan including Jomolhari, Jichu Drakey, Gangkhar Puensum, Black Mountain and Table Mountain.
After the flight, the children were served lunch and gifted small hampers with heavy takeaway snacks for their journey back home.
We take pride in being able to provide them with the experience and we hope this program will help bring about positive changes in their lives.
